As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning models to solve complex business problems, improve our product offerings, and drive data-informed decisions. Ownership Areas Model Development and Deployment– Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for various applications, including predictive analytics, natural language processing, and computer vision. Implement robust model validation techniques to ensure accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production systems. Data Analysis and Exploration– Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to improve business outcomes. Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable recommendations. Research and Innovation– Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence, and explore new techniques to enhance our capabilities. Conduct research on novel algorithms and methodologies to address specific business challenges. Contribute to the development of intellectual property and publications. Data Preprocessing and Feature Engineering– Clean, transform, and prepare data for model training, ensuring data quality and consistency. Develop and implement feature engineering strategies to extract relevant information from raw data. Work with large datasets and utilize distributed computing frameworks when necessary. Collaboration and Communication– Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions. Model Monitoring and Maintenance– Monitor model performance in production and identify areas for improvement. Implement automated monitoring systems to detect model drift and degradation. Retrain models as needed to maintain accuracy and relevance. Experiment Design and Analysis– Design and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of new features and models. Utilize statistical methods to determine the significance of experimental results. Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights. Documentation and Reporting– Document model development processes, data analysis methodologies, and experimental results. Create clear and concise reports to communicate findings to stakeholders. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for future reference. Security and Compliance– Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Implement data encryption and access control measures. Adhere to ethical guidelines for data usage and model development. Essential Foundations Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in data science or a related role. Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Strong understanding of statistical modeling and applied statistics, including hypothesis testing, experimental design, regression, clustering & segmentation, time-series methods, and inferential analysis Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques. Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Bonus Differentiators Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques. Experience with computer vision techniques. Experience designing and implementing RAG / agentic AI systems (e.g., AI agents, tool-calling workflows, orchestrated multi-agent pipelines) using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar. Experience building production-grade GenAI applications (LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, vector databases, retrieval pipelines, safety and responsible AI practices) Experience with deep learning models.
